Dr. Grace Marnelle Alexis Stephens is currently chancellor of MacCormac College in Chicago, making her one of the youngest college presidents in America, the first woman and the first person of color to hold the presidency of the 110‐year-old institution. Prior to joining MacCormac, Grace held concurrent positions at Duke University as associate dean for undergraduate education and as executive director of the comprehensive education institute for Duke University Health System.
She has been an executive level business developer and profit and loss manager for Kaplan, Inc. and a business relationship manager for Goldman Sachs. A native New Yorker, Stephens received her B.A. from the State University of New York at Old Westbury; a M.A. from New York University; an Ed.M. from Columbia University and an Ed.D. in higher education management at the University of Pennsylvania. Stephens is also a licensed minister and is committed to a life of service.
