Legislator Carrié Solages (D-Elmont) is currently serving his first term in the Nassau County Legislature, representing the 3rd Legislative District. The 3rd Legislative District is comprised of Elmont, Franklin Square, North Valley Stream, Bellerose Terrace, South Floral Park, and portions of Valley Stream and West Hempstead.

Legislator Solages, a former Bronx Assistant District Attorney, has practiced law throughout the New York metropolitan area as a partner in his law firm, Solages & Solages P.C.   As a local business owner, he became a member of the Elmont Chamber of Commerce and is an active member of the Elmont Coalition for Sustainable Development.  Additionally, he is active in numerous bar associations and has chaired various clinics to provide pro bono legal services.

Prior to serving within the Legislature, Carrié served as a commissioner on the Nassau County Commission on Human Rights.  He was also a Legislative Intern for the Honorable Darlene Harris while in college.

A lifelong Elmont resident, graduated from H. Frank Carey High School in Franklin Square. Carrie holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and a Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School.

As a Legislator, Carrié seeks to engage and compel individuals to work for a better tomorrow here in Nassau County.
