Johann is the Founder of Sterling & Black Associates, a management consulting firm which provides strategy, technology integration and change management/facilitation/capacity building services to a range of cross-industry clients including the United Nations Industrial Organization (UNIDO), Carver Savings Bank, The City University of New York and UNCF.

In her prior career, she served as a senior marketing executive for top-tier companies such as Microsoft, American Express, and Morgan Stanley.  Johann leveraged this expertise and her global experience to launch Sterling and Black. Using a creative and flexible problem solving approach, S&B delivers tailored strategies that focus on a superior customer experience as a strategic asset, and provides a number of services including change Management, business process Analysis and re-engineering, and business strategy and planning.

Johann is noted for her exceptional focus on the customer and client experience and is a highly accomplished, goal-oriented consultant with extensive knowledge of strategy development, user centered design, project management, change management, capacity building, training and development as well as marketing and client relationship management.

Johann holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Baruch College at the City University of New York, and a Master of Arts with a concentration in Development Economics and Technology Policy from the Fletcher School at Tufts University.
